The Country Cluster GBU OPEX Controller will drive consistency and standardization for GBU Brand OPEX management (marketing, promotion, medical) across GBUs in collaboration with other GBU Controllers. This person will develop partnerships with the Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners to drive results and control forecasts and budgets. He/She creates a positive and supporting atmosphere for the team and neighbouring functions as we work together to strengthen the finance partnership with the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop OPEX and headcount forecasts and planning for designated areas, in partnership with FBPs and Budget Owners
  • Ensure compliance with pertinent SOX controls
  • Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements
  • Support all key finance initiatives, including iShift implementation and SMART Spend
  • Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of these forecasts
  • Ad hoc projects as required
  • Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong system knowledge (TM1, SAP, SHIFT, Excel etc)
  • Provide reliable analyses to the key stakeholders and is able to handle big amounts of data for these analyses
  • Flexible team player, proactive and ability to work and prioritize under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and good synthesis skills
  • Strong organization skills: ability to track and manage a high volume of projects at a detailed level
  • Works independently, and autonomous within general guidance provided by the finance function
  • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or similar is required
  • 3+ years of diversified financial controlling experience in an international organization
  • Advanced excel skills and experience to build P&L and OPEX reports independently
